Carbon-Fiber Air Mandrel(X-AMCF)
Carbon-fiber air mandrels offer very low mass with high stiffness and modulus, minimal deflection, low density, a low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), excellent creep resistance, and strong corrosion resistance. They weigh only about 30‒50% as much as comparable steel air mandrels, while delivering specific strength and specific modulus several times higher than conventional steels and aluminum alloys. As a result, they are widely used on central-impression (CI)flexographic presses.
